Mary Susmilch, soprano, was a founding member of Acappellago. She resided with her husband Len, in the Bruce Lake community of Downers Grove for many years and they owned Smith Trucking in Bedford Park.
In addition to singing with Acappellago from the fall of 2002 through the spring of 2005, she served faithfully as our treasurer for our 2002-2003 & 2003-2004 seasons and as secretary for the 2004-2005 season. She opened her home for our rehearsals in the fall of 2002 until a formal rehearsal space was found and donated many a week’s stay in sunny Arizona as raffle prizes.

An avid music lover, Mary met her husband, Len, when both played tuba in college. She sang with the community choir in Gold Canyon, AZ after their retirement to that area in 2006.
