woody woodward

Woody Woodward, bass, had a short career with Acappellago but left a big impact. Woody sang with Acappellago from the fall of 2008 through the December concert of 2009 before falling ill in early 2010.

Woody and his wife, Sharon, were long-time residents of LaGrange.

Woody was a pilot for American Airlines and a member of the West Town Barbershop Chorus. He was also a lover of sailing and of old movies.

Woody’s love of the movies was the inspiration for our very popular March 2011 “Escape to the Movies” concert and provided an introduction to Dick Hyman (yes, the music arranger for many movies) who kindly provided us with a wonderful setting of “You Do Something to Me” for that concert.
